The ABO Grouping & RHO Typing test determines blood type grouping (A,B, AB, O)
and the RH factor (positive or negative). A person’s blood type is based on the
presence or absence of certain antigens on the surface of their red blood cells. The
body naturally develops antibodies to antigens which are not present in its own blood
cells. These antibodies will target and attack foreign cells which are incompatible.
